About Our Charters

Fins and Tails Guide Service can arrange both small and large party trips as well as multiple boat and corporate charters, which can also be set up in a tournament format.

Inshore/Near shore: The Tampa Bay area and its surrounding waters offer a multitude of opportunities. Depending on time of year, our daily trips may include rivers and tidal creeks, backcountry bays, mangrove shorelines, barrier islands, passes and the many beaches from Ft. Desoto to Anclote Key. Species include, Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Trout, Cobia, Flounder, Mackerel, Jack Crevealle, Pompano and others.
Offshore:  Trips range up to 50 miles offshore with the primary targeted species being reef fish, to include, Red and Gag Grouper, Amberjack, Red and Mangrove Snapper, King Fish, and Black Fin Tuna.
Tarpon:  Prime Tarpon season occurs in the months of May and June.  We are fishing the Charlotte Harbor areas of Pine Island Sound and the surrounding passes and beaches including Boca Grande Pass and Captiva Pass.  Boca Grande Pass is widely known as “The Tarpon Fishing Capital of The World”.
